Understanding
visitors
 plenaire
sessie in het Engels
This presentation tracks the evolution of visitor understanding
against the evolution of UK Government cultural policy, culminating
in an analysis of twin agendas, one about access and one about
learning, and looking towards a means of measuring the importance
of museums in society. We present a number of useful models
including how we can best understand visitor motivations and
responses. |

Museums
making choices (parallelsessie
4.4)
parallelsessie in het Engels
This presentation sets out the choices that museums face as
they become more visitor focused, relating this analysis to
a case study of the Imperial War Museum North and the evaluation
of visitor responses to this dramatic Daniel Liebskind building
unfolding, as it does, the Curatorial Policy Matrix.
